Position
Position describes where something is located.  In science, it might be a particle as small
as an electron or an object as large as a galaxy.

We can use several methods of describing the position of an object or place.

When describing where something is located, we generally use a known reference point.
That reference point may be our present location.  It also could be a reference system,
such as latitude and longitude.  We can also use the global positioning system (GPS) for
a more exact three dimensional location.  However, all of these methods still use
reference points.
